Udyog Aadhaar registration

The online Udyog Aadhaar registration process has been created with an aim to encourage online filing of Entrepreneurs Memorandum (also known as MSME registration) for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The online Udyog Aadhaar registration process will simplify the registration process with an online and simple one page registration form. In the form, the MSME will self certify its existence, bank account, business activity details, employment and ownership details and other information.

Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum

UAM has been notified by the Ministry of MSME under the MSMED (Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Development) Act, 2006 for promoting ease of starting small and medium-sized businesses. As mentioned earlier, the UAM registration system replaces the filing of EM-1 and EM-2. The registration form is free of cost and more than one UAM can be filed with the same Aadhaar number. The form can be filled on self-declaration basis, where the MSME can self-certify its existence, bank account details, Aadhaar details and other required basic information. The UAM registration can be done using the online by using the portal (http://udyogaadhaar.gov.in) from any part of the country. Additionally, mobile access is given to the UA portal.

Government Schemes

After registering their MSME, the applicant will receive the benefits of all the government schemes such as an easy loan, loan without guarantee, loans with subsidized rates of interest etc.

Financial Support

The applicant will receive financial support for participating in foreign expos to showcase their products.The applicant will also be eligible for government subsidies.

Bank Accounts

Registration would facilitate hassle-free opening of current bank accounts in the name of the business.

Beneficial Schemes

It would also allow businesses to apply for government micro business loans and other such related beneficial schemes.

Aadhaar Number Twelve digit Aadhaar number which is issued to the applicant.

This Aadhaar number in case of Proprietary Enterprise must be of the Managing partner, of Authorised Partner for Partnership Enterprise and of Authorised Person for Other forms of Enterprises

Business Name Name of the of Entity under which it is conducting its business. One applicant could have more than one enterprises and each one could be registered individually with the same Aadhaar Number for a separate Udyog Aadhaar
Type of Organization Type of Business entity or Legal Entity. (Proprietorship, Partnership Firm, Hindu Undivided Family, Private Limited Company, Co-Operative, Public Limited Company, Self Help Group, LLP, Others)
Address Postal Address of the business for communication purposes including contact numbers and email address
Date of Commencement The commencement date of the respective businesses
Previous Registration Details (if any) Details of any previous MSME registration
Bank Details Banking details of the of the company which includes Bank Account number and IFSC Code
Key Activity Key areas of activity of the business –service or manufacturing
National Industrial Classification (NIC) Code The NIC Code must be entered from the National Industrial Classification handbook. The Applicant might select multiple National Industrial Classification-2008 (NIC) Codes for including all of its activities.
Number of persons employed The number of employees in the business
Investment in Plant & Machinery / Equipment Total amount investment in terms of machinery and equipment by the business
District Industry Center (DIC) The details of the DIC (District Industry Center) nearest to such business, if needed

Generate OTP

Enter the Aadhaar number and other related details, mentioned above, associated with MSME. Further to this, select the option ‘Validate and Generate OTP’(One Time Password)

Enter OTP

Enter the OTP received. If this is not sent, then apply for linking your mobile number with Aadhaar.

Enter owner and business details on the registration page, including the bank details, NIC and DIC codes.

re-check details

After submitting all the details, re-check the details filled and click on the Submit button.Verify the OTP number, generated by the registered number, with Captcha code required.

acknowledgment number

An acknowledgment number will be generated and e-mailed to the applicant, which should be noted for future references.
